My main topic of interest is the Mediterranean scenery, history, and culture. The goal was to create a poster-like visual with these motifs, and make it slightly surreal, or in other words, to make a viewer wonder, like, "what is it all about?".
The work is called "Time Machine", and it is made as a vector illustration. The process started by sketching motifs from the Ancient Greek pottery on display in the Benaki Museum, in Athens. Later, it was scanned and traced to vector before being placed into a background inspired by the Mediterranean "magic realism".
