Lana Pajdas was born in Rijeka, Croatia in 1989. She got her art education through the studies of the History of Art at the University of Zagreb (2007-2010) and the studies of the multimedia in the service of cultural heritage at the University of Coimbra, Portugal (2010-2012). Later she took specialization courses in graphic design, as well as private lessons in academic drawing with Ms. Elisavet Dionisiou in Athens, Greece (2022-2024).
Throughout the 2010, she was mostly busy with photography, creative writing, storytelling, and managing social media pages for a diversity of clients. The trips she took during that time have influenced her artistic expression in the way that she started exploring the ways historical artists interacted with the phenomena and realities of their times. The insight into the hyperconnected, fast changing world, where the use of technology has surpassed everyone's imagination, made her create a kind of the "postcards of the era". Obviously these are not literal podcasts, but these are some sort of a presentation of the dominating lifestyle, from a newborn baby to an elderly person. The sensitivity to nature and environmental issues are another important part of Lana's work; she does not paint landscapes - she paints views, in a bold way that rejects the traditional sensitivity of landscape painting. It translates to the watercolor painting of bold, deep contrasts, but acrylic paintings of a certain airiness.
Her graphic design and illustration works gives an important emphasis on boldness and shape too. In the age of the attention economy and templated visuals, the only way to give a personal touch to the applied artworks is by making its story clear.
